Paste Form Retarder
DESCRIPTION: AGGRESOL -F- is a green water soluble paste type liquid used on vertical
surfaces such as steps, retaining walls and curbing.
COVERAGE: 150 square foot per gallon
DIRECTIONS: APPLICATION: Apply generously with a masonry brush over entire area to be exposed.
EXPOSING AGGREGATE: Remove surface mortar within 8-24 hours after application.
Check to determine if the concrete has set sufficiently. Use low-pressure garden hose and coarse brush or stiff broom to remove retarded surface mortar. Aggregates can be cleaned by
washing with a 10% muriatic solution. Surface should be rinsed thoroughly with water following
a 5 - 10 minute interaction period between acid solution and surface.
WARNING: Avoid excessive force when removing surface mortar, which can undermine
exposed aggregate profile.
LIMITATIONS: Accelerated admixtures, steam curing, heated concrete and hot weather
all reduce the effectiveness and dependability of AGGRESOL -F- etching action.
