Perfect for pre-cast or cast-in-place methods, enCOUNTER's concrete countertop system simplifies the process of building concrete countertops because water is the only missing ingredient. enCOUNTER is packaged in convenient 50 lb bags. Mixing with a small barrel mixer is recommended.
enCOUNTER?s concrete countertop performance is unmatched by other bagged grout mixes. The unique blend of well graded aggregates and 3/8-inch crushed limestone requires less water (80 to 95 oz. of water to one 50 lb. bag of enCOUNTER) and results in less shrink cracking and curling problems that are common with other bagged mixes. The 8,870 psi strength is important when casting long seamless pieces. EnCOUNTER has been used to clear span 18 feet and to make a bar countertop nearly 60 feet long with no cracks and seams.
The minimization of paste (the weakest part of concrete) means that enCOUNTER delivers a strong and creamy mixture without hairy fibers or the sponginess and bubbles caused by superplasticizers.
